The Voluntary Action Center was originally established to assess the need for, develop, and promote the local growth of volunteerism. In addition to its obligations to volunteerism, the Voluntary Action Center has pledged itself to adapt to the realities, challenges, and demands of the changing times. Today, the Voluntary Action Center has matured into a multi-purpose organization that is responsible for the development and administration of numerous information and referral, intervention, mutual help, and substance prevention programs.
